What is the difference between a No Win No Fee and a success fee agreement?

The main difference between a "No Win No Fee" and a success fee agreement in Scotland is when the solicitor's fee is paid. In a "No Win No Fee" agreement, the solicitor will only be paid if the case is successful and will take a percentage of the compensation awarded as their fee. In contrast, in a success fee agreement, the solicitor's fee is paid regardless of the case's outcome but maybe a lower percentage of the compensation awarded.
